  Pro Alcohol  
 

Multi class bracket, combining methanol fuelled dragsters, nitro injected dragsters, funny cars and Altereds

 
     
  Pro Slammer  
  Pro Slammer are the ultimate drag racing sedans, using replicas of production sedans and coupes with full racing chassis and large capacity V8 engines, methanol fuel and supercharging.  
     
  IHRA Pro Mod

  Pro Stock  
  Pro Stock is the highest development of naturally aspirated, street appearing, four seater sedans or coupes. Cars must use naturally aspirated V8 engines fitted with carburettors only.  
     
  Pro Stock Bike  
  Pro Bike represent the highest development of naturally aspirated, street appearing motorcycles.

Supercomp

Consists of combing Competition Eliminator, Super Stock and Super Compact into one bracket.

 

Competition Eliminator

·       • Is open to both naturally aspirated and supercharged dragster, altered and sedans that compete on the Semi Professional handicapped Australian Class National Records.

Super Stock

·       • Vehicles compete on the Semi Professional handicapped Australian Class National Records and are based on Stock appearing production cars with almost unlimited chassis modifications including the option for engine setback. The production body shell must be retained but lightweight panels are permitted. Unlimited engine modifications are permitted in most cases.

Super Compact

·       • Is a multi – class bracket covering up to 8 types of sedan type vehicles or factory derivatives using 4, 6 and Rotary engines with speeds in excess of 200mph (320kph) in some classes that compete on the Semi Professional Class National Records.

 

Performance Bike

Accommodate purpose built drag racing motorcycles with fully fabricated frames and highly modified engines that compete on the Semi Professional handicapped Australian Class National Records. Supercharging is permitted in some classes.

Pro Radial

Heads up, Pro Tree drag racing. First to finish wins!

Big Power on a small radial tyre (max size 315/60/15 Radial or 29.5x10.5 Pro Bracket Radial)

Racing Distance 200 metres (1/8 mile)

Production based cars (up to ¾ chassis)

Variety of power adders with 4, 6 and 8 cylinder engines

Weight breaks in place to keep parity between different power adders.

 

Supercharged Outlaws

Combines two classes for Dragsters – Funny Cars and Altereds, and sedans meeting relevant Sportsman regulations and using V8 engines with Rootes or Screw type Superchargers. Supercharged Outlaws will be all run that qualify between 0.00 and 7.99 ¼ mile and is a “Dial Your Own” handicap system.

 

Top Sportsman

Caters for a wide range of sedans based vehicles running in Sportsman, Top Sportsman will be all run that qualify between 0.00 and 8.49 ¼ mile and is a “Dial Your Own” handicap system.

 

Modified Eliminator

Provides a number of classes for vehicles to compete in the Sportsman “Dial Your Own” handicap system Modified vehicles include Dragsters, Funny Cars, Roadsters and Altereds.  Qualifying between 0.00 to 10.99 sec ¼ mile. All run

 

Super Sedan

Caters for a wide range of sedans based vehicles running in Sportsman, This bracket is for sedans nominating to run between 8.50 sec and 10.99 sec ¼ mile, using the “Dial Your Own” handicap system. All run.

 

Modified Bike

Caters for a wide range of classes from supercharged competition only bikes to street ridden machines with little or no modifications. It’s perfect entry level for motorcycle competitors. This bracket is for motorcycles qualifying with an elapsed time of 11.99 or quicker, using the “Dial You Own” handicap system. All run.

 

Super Gas

Is reserved for full-bodied cars and roadsters using a common fixed index of 9.90 sec ¼ mile. Heads Up, Pro Tree starts are used.

 
     
  SPORTSMAN STREET  
     
 

Super Street

Entry level caters for a wide range of sedans based vehicles running in Sportsman; this bracket is for sedans nominating to run between 10.00 sec and 12.99 sec ¼ mile, using the “Dial Your Own” handicap system. All run.

 

Real Street

Is a new class dedicated to genuine OFF Street vehicles, Full Street Registration with Australian Compliance mandatory.

Class designation: RST

A/RST 2013 and later (Australian Compliance) Street registered vehicles competing 9.00 sec to 13.99 sec ET / 165 MPH

B/RD 2003 to 2013 (Australian Compliance) street registered vehicles competing 9.50 sec ET / 150 MPH

Accepted vehicles prior to 2003 – Include: Ford BA models – Holden VX and VY models

 
     
SPORTSMAN JUNIOR COMPETITION
     
 

Junior Dragster

Is for children between the ages of eight and eighteen years inclusive, racing half scale dragsters, replicas of the sport’s fastest cars. The “Dial Your Own” handicap system is used. Junior dragsters are limited to a minimum 1/8 mile ET.

A/JD 13 to 18 years limited to ET no quicker than 7.90 and Top Speed no faster than 89.99mph (144kph)

B/JD 11 to 18 years limited to ET no quicker than 8.50 and Top Speed no faster than 80mph (128kph)

C/JD 8 to 10 years limited to ET no quicker than 11.90 and Top Speed no faster than 60mph (96kph)

 

Junior Drag Bike

Is for children between the ages of twelve and eighteen years inclusive. Racing Production Street Motorcycles of any age, modified to the limits described in the class regulations. Purpose-built drag racing motorcycles with fully fabricated frames based on Production Street Motorcycles may be granted.

 

A/JDB for riders between the ages of 13 and 18 years inclusive. Limited to ET no quicker than 8.90 seconds and Top Speed not faster than 80.16mph (129kph)

Class engine capacity limits 161cc to 350cc

 

B/JDB for riders between the ages of 12 and 18 years inclusive. Limited to ET no quicker than 9.90 seconds and Top Speed not faster than 70mph (113kph)
