We have had plenty of questions asking about when we may be able to return to racing here at Sydney Dragway.

We have prepared a “Back to Racing” document in conjunction with our sanctioning body, IHRA Australia. This document has been submitted to the relevant Government departments to commence the discussion on how we return to racing as restrictions ease from COVID-19. The important issues covered in this document include how our outdoor facility can socially distance crowds, how our venue deals with a contact free racing environment, ensuring non-contact elements, sanitizing stations and venue deep cleans etc.

We will keep you up to date as we progress through the process.

We haven't been sitting idle during this shutdown period though - we have been painting the office, repairing fences and focusing on general venue improvements and the endless task of mowing the lawns.

Our next task is to embark upon our track works which include a comprehensive update of the venue, removing the old track and installing a brand new World Class Concrete racing surface.

Our entire facility will benefit both racers and spectators with the upgrades that we are about to undertake. Due to the COVID-19 shutdown, we have brought forward the date of commencement on this exciting project to limit the inconvenience of a closure.
